Bakery Sijtsma is a specialized bakery in the beautiful Frisian Elfstedenstad, Dokkum. Sugar bread is supposed to be a little sticky, with small lumps of caramelized sugar.  A thick slice of sugar bread tastes best with a little butter!  . Excellent for French toast, no need for syrup because this is syrupy good already. Careful, its very hard to stop at one slice ....
