About Us

Captain's Candy is the Gold Coast's biggest and best retail candy and international grocery store (we have multiple awards to provide it)! We are so much more than a Candy Store with an extensive range of international groceries including goodies from America, South America, Mexico, the UK and NZ. And not to be forgotten is our Dutch range - absolute heaven to our Dutchie community. We have all the candy you can imagine (including some old school faves) and goodies like hot sauces, pickles, seasonings and rubs, baking ingredients, spices, sodas and so much more! We are open to the public 7 days a week, and visiting our store is an experience not to be missed! The saying "like a kid in a Candy Store" is an understatement! You will be both mesmerised and pleasantly surprised at the large variety of stock. A walk around our store is also a trip down memory lane for some customers. We stock items not seen since our childhood, as well as all the new and trending items. Captain's Candy is a family-owned and operated small business, and your support means the world to us. In exchange for your business, we promise to do everything we can to ensure your shopping experience is pleasant, and we want you to receive personalised service with a smile. We have partnered with the most reliable companies to deliver your favourite products. We are ready to entrust them with your orders and are always on your side if something goes wrong. We will only ship items that are easily affected by heat (such as chocolate), Monday through Wednesday to avoid them sitting in transit over the weekend. Our products are not sent in refrigerated packaging or on refrigerated vehicles. Please be mindful of this when ordering heat sensitive products, as once the products have left our premises, no refunds will be issued for damages due to elements outside of our control.

When entering this store I was shocked at not only the variety, but the scale. I understood why the slogan was indeed 'much more than a candy store' which I couldn't have agreed with more. Their abundant selection of international grocery items brought a taste of the world. After a tough day of losses at the pokies I felt as though I needed a pick me up. And boy did this place not disappoint. I chose the Garlic Joe's Zesty Pickle. (Unsure of what zesty means, must be the kids lingo). Their selections of treats I would recommend this shop to everyone who wants to try a tender sweet treat, to the most garlic pickle. Wonder where the old owners went however this new ownership has shown nothing but improvements!!!

I have been a regular customer to Captains Candy for a while now and after going there on the weekend I was greeted by the new owners of the shop and I must say wow what a breath of fresh air!! The shop has always been stocked with amazing products, however the customer service was lacking so I’m soo happy to see these new friendly faces who take this shop to another level! Best Before Dates

All our products come with a "Best Before" date on them; this is a guide as to when a long-life food product may start to deteriorate in quality. Food Standards Australia & New Zealand advise that you can still eat foods for a while after the best-before date as they should be safe but may have lost some quality. Foods that have past their best-before date can legally be sold provided the food is fit for human consumption. At Captain's Candy, we do everything possible to ensure no products are past their best-before date when we sell them. However, as we rely on shipping from overseas, quite often we have short dates remaining on products when they arrive. Any product past its best-before date will be reduced in price and advertised accordingly. All products labelled "REDUCED BB" are promoted as reduced as they are past their best before date and may not fall under our refund policy.

Returns / Refunds / Concerns

We want you to be overjoyed with your purchase from Captain's Candy. If however there are any issues please contact us immediately via email (admin@captainscandy.com.au) providing the order details and the concern or issue and we will be in touch. Our returns policy follows all ACCC guidelines and we will always work with you to reach a satisfactory outcome. Please note that we are not obliged to refund or exchange if you have simply changed your mind or purchased the wrong size, flavour or colour or because the flavour is different to what you thought it would be. Images are indicative of product only. Despite our best efforts to stay up to date with packaging changes and product images, some products may vary from those displayed.
